I really like this. Very handy and ended a lot of power cord clutter. I couldn't give it 5 stars because after about a year and a half the USB ports died - all of them. I use a hub and plug in adapters, so I get by without them, but they were pretty handy - now they just flash red. Saying that, I'm ordering a replacement and using the one I have in another room. Not sure what caused the USB ports to go bad and if you are really depending on those, I can't recommend this. But the outlets have all worked fine and 16 outlets with a footprint of less than 6 inches in nice.

This is an excellent product. I love the fact I can place it on top my dresser and plug it into the socket which is low towards the ground. This allows for me to plug in my TV and other products as well as charge multiple items. So far so good and it looks exactly as advertised.

This thing is AWESOME! Where have you been all my life. I won't even detract any stars from the fact that the cord could be a tad bit longer, but then the item wouldn't be so compact. The fact that you can turn off the outlets you are not using is smart! the ability to plug in USB cords as well is excellent. Do not stop making this item please!

Never had something like this before and it's kind of funny because you never know how essential it is to have complete access to a plug. This has become extremely useful since I've bought it and I love that you can turn on or off each row.

I use a lot of electronics in my office, have a TON of cords surrounding my desk, and frequently have problems juggling the 36+ outlets spread between wall outlets and four plugin strips and extension cords. The pile of cables behind my computer is astounding. I bought this hoping it would concentrate outlets and clean up some of the mess while providing a few free outlets for ocassional use which has become a real annoyance. It worked wonderfully. Everything about it has been great. I placed it behind a 40' monitor, so the tower design and handle has come in handy. The tower rotates which is great for getting at outlets that would have been 'in back' and hard to reach. The USB outlets allowed me to get rid of four bricks which had been taking two outlet positions in the strips.

This is a great item. I purchased this to take to work. I travel and sometimes there are 5 or more of us in one small room and with one outlet. We have to plug in computers, jet packs, printers, scanners, and cell phones. We sit this in the middle of the room and plug in. I am thinking about getting one for my house. Great

The outlet is a great design and comes in very handy. I dont have to plug in a seperate charger for my USB devices and you can turn off outlets not being used. The cord is not 6 feet however it is a decent length.

I can't speak for others, but I'm a paralyzed disabled veteran. So I need things to make my life easier. This was easy to set up, it charges my devices like my smartphone and tablets as well as my Bluetooth devices. I use it to turn off and on my lamps at night the cord that comes with it is easy to high because it's retractable. It's a good buy for the price. I wasn't given a discount or anything special.

I will never get a regular strip again, this is really nice. LEDs are a plus but can be a bit bright if you have one in your bedroom. This is a great hub that organized the mess of what I had previously of three daisy chained small power strips.

This design allowed me to get the cords off the floor and route them to the bottom shelf a small table. I do not have a reason to use the select function, but I guess it is cool. If i need a second one I would definitely buy this again.

The vertical layout makes this a great outlet for a small space. You can turn on/off rows as needed. If setting up in a classroom environment then this is a great way to get all students in a table connected.

It is what it is, a surge protector that has 14/ 3 prong plugs and 4 usb slots and its only a little slower than my quick charger so pretty awesome. i dont know what people mean by the cord falls out? thats what it is designed to do for length extension. it is not a solid tower it rotates or maybe thats just mine, no idea. i love this thing, definitely better than the 'power brick' style

This is a very nice surge suppressor. The tower design allows you to plug many power supplies units in next to each other as they are all on an edge. Switches to turn a layer off is rally nice.

This thing is awesome!! I got the 16 outlet tower to replace like 4 6-plugs that I had connected to each other, it was a mess and a half, and what bothered me most of all is that I couldn't use like half my outlets cause they were blocked by the big adaptor like plugs. So I figured I'll give this a try. So here is my experience with this. first of all, right after placing the order I realized that it says it the description that it only actually has 14 plug outlets (and 4 usb ports). But given that in the title it keeps saying 16 outlets, I was a little disappointed. But I figured 14 is still better than 6. But today when I got it, I'm very satisfied with this product! The 14 outlets is actually more than enough for me, because now since no outlets are blocked by those big adaptor plugs, so I can actually use every single outlet, so as it turned out it was more than enough for me, I even have a few empty outlets left, even though like I said before this replaced 4 6-plugs. So yea, I'm very happy with this purchase, it's a great item. But if I had the option, I'd take 2 more outlets and no USB ports, I see no real use for them as my pc is right there anyway, so I have like 3 USB ports on the front of it alone, for me personally I have no use of these 4 usb ports, and like I said I'd rather have the 2 additional regular outlets. But hey no biggie, I guess those spots will just sit empty, but the silver lining is that only those 2 spots with the 4 USB ports (2 in each spot) are illuminated by a red/orange LED backlight. So even though they will sit empty, at least it will still serve some small purpose, in making it look better at least ????

Not only do you have multiple pluggins and usb ports the wire that plugs into wall rolls up inside base of tower GENIOUS. I will be buying more of these and would give it a 10 star if possible works flawlessly can't ask for better

I am very surprised how many outlets this thing have. Besides the electric outlets it contains 4 USB plugs which are handy for our multiple devices to plug in and recharge the batteries. So far, so good.

This tower of outlets is SO much more efficient and tidy than the power strips I've been using under the counter for my desktop computer, monitor, 2 printers, speakers, modem, and other accessories. It has more outlets and they are more accessible the way they are configured. I also like the way it's cord winds up inside the tower by merely twisting it, so that another cord isn't added to the clutter. It seems to be of good quality and well made. It actually replaced 2 strips I was using. The USB ports are handy as well. I'm very pleased that I made this purchase. I highly recommend this product.

So much better than bar type - have all my cell phone/tablet/laptop/portable speaker charges in it, and have 3 more outlets. Love the USB plugs - have a ton of Ipods and can charge 6 at a time.

Like everyone has mentioned before this outlet is great other strips have issues with some transformer plugs to close so you cant plug in on all the outlets, this one has plenty of room for all your cords. Originally was only going to order one but got 2 and I am happy I did.

Believe Me! I was overwhelmingly frustrated with having to unplug items so that I could plug in other items. I'm more than pleased with this product. It was more than I bargained for as it also allows for using only the section levels of the device that I will use to plug devices into by utilizing turn off switches.

I've been looking for this solution for quite a while. With today's power bricks, wifi wall modules, etc... flat power strips are spaced incorrectly. I was using an 8 outlet strip and was only able to use 5 ports because the huge modules took up too much room. The verticle design is ingenious! All the plugs have a spot now with more to spare. The retractable cable is also an awesome feature that keeps everything looking neat. Being able to turn on the section of only the outlets I need is great since I not using all 16 spots.

I am quite thankful to have found this item. I liked the first on so much that I now own two of them. I live in a very small apartment. Due to the need to provide care for a sick wife, I have pretty much had to move my office at church into a small area of our apartment. The extra long extension cords are a blessing in themselves. Instead of having to five power strips to connect everything, I now have my needs covered with the two units and have connectibility to spare. These units are great in the fact that you don't have to waste a connection because the large square plugin would take two or more connections on the typical surge protector strip. Since it is vertical, it us much less space than a common power strip. These units are excellent quality, provide great protection, and there is nothing lacking where quality construction is concerned. Highly recommend for anyone setting up TVs, cable equipment, PCs, external drives, and so on.

I think it's a little too tall, but the design of the twisting handle on top to retract the cable is pretty brilliant. Plus the USB are an absolute must. I would have kept it if it were shorter, but it is still a good design and product.

This doesn't take up too much desk space because it's vertical, and the sockets are far enough apart that you can plug battery chargers and wall warts directly into the sockets without covering adjacent sockets. The built in USB ports are handy and the cord storage reel in the base is great too.

I love this item. I bought it to replace my standard flat 8 socket strip, and this is a VERY nice upgrade. With 16 sockets, USB power supply and each level having it's own independent power switch, this is probably the best surge protector that you can buy. If I ever need another one, I would definitely buy this one again.

This has got to be one of the most useful purchase I have made in a long time. It beats every single extension wire I have ever bought. The utility is just unmatched.The tower design, placement of the sockets, the switches for each level - all have been very thoughtful. The plugs/wires don't take up more space and keep other wires from being plugged in. The design allows for all kinds of plugs big and small to be plugged in at the same time. At the bottom there are two slots for USB charging.The plastic is very light but it does not matter. The cable unwinds from the bottom upto 6 feet.

As a college student with far too many electronics, this was a great find to plug everything in under my desk. Previously I had three power strips to plug everything in (desk lamp, desktop, monitor, on my desk, next to it printer, TV, xBox, Wii, NES, GameCube) and it was a real mess of power cords and strips at my feet. This significantly cleared up that problem and everything can be conveniently plugged into one power tower, each level with its own control button. Perfect for separating the every day use, like my desktop and lamp, from the occasional use, like all the video game consoles and TV.Its power cord that plugs into the wall conveniently is stored in the base of the tower, which rotates on the base to retract it back into the base. Definitely helps keep less of a cord web. One socket is specifically purposed to charging two USB devices, which is perfect for charging my phone and iPod. Once I move after graduating, I'm definitely buying another!
